Jeremy Carr
Singer
Jeremy Carr is an American singer and songwriter based in New York City. His soulful voice grew out of a love for Motown greats Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Levi Stubbs, and he moves just as easily from RnB and hip-hop to house and pop. Like many American dance vocalists, he first made his name in Europe before breaking through at home.
From Europe to Billboard
His career took off in 2007 with “Turn The Lights Off” and “Physical Attraction”, two tracks recorded with DJ Jose that reached the Dutch Top 40. In 2008, “Deep At Night”, with Ercola and Heikki L, became a Billboard Top 10 Dance Airplay hit in the United States and earned a nomination for Best Progressive House/Trance Track at the 2009 Dance Music Awards in Miami. “Sexy Girl”, with DJ Pearl and Last Vegas, followed, charting in Spain, Greece and Egypt, then “In The Air” with Austin Leeds, in a version remixed by Avicii and released by Ultra Records.
Two tracks with Yane Solöne
At Electromix, Jeremy Carr is the voice of two Yane Solöne singles. “Your Touch” came out on 25 October 2007, with remixes by Muttonheads, Jay Style and Leeroy Daevis. Two years later, on 2 November 2009, “So Dangerous” (EM030) was released in six versions, including remixes by Green and Riviera, Mike Traxx and Seight, Will Kay and Quentin Dellarte. Jeremy wrote the lyrics; Yane Solöne wrote the music.
Scandinavia, Stadiumred and New York
From 2010 he recorded and toured regularly in Scandinavia. With Danish DJ Kato he wrote and sang “Celebrate Life” and “Happiness”, from the platinum album Discolized 2.0, which won at the Danish Music Awards. “Celebrate Life” reached number one on the Danish dance chart. He has also worked with Sunfreakz on “The Way We Are”, with The Disco Fries and Hyper Crush on “Heartbeat”, with DJ Antoine, and with the duo Mysto & Pizzi, who produced “Just One Breath” in 2012. Its video, directed by Eric M. Wolfson, co-stars Mexican actress Fernanda Romero. On stage he has shared bills with The Chainsmokers and Chuckie. He writes and records most of his music at the Stadiumred studios in New York.
Still in the studio
Jeremy Carr has never stopped releasing music. Between 2016 and 2023 he put out a run of singles and EPs, including “We Only Have Tonight” and its 2019 remixes, and sang on Maison & Dragen’s “Never Gonna Stop” and Dex’s “Unstoppable”. With Danish DJ Lynx he released “Hold Me Forever” in 2021, then “Please Forgive Me”, which he wrote and performs. His latest single, “I’m Still Here”, came out on 24 February 2025. Away from the studio, he is an advocate for children and animals, and an active animal rescuer.
