Komby Dot IO, Electromix Records’ DJ collective

Before the label, Alexandre Auger describes a path built without a safety net: a self-funded audiovisual course, a spell in kitchen apprenticeship, then radio. Nearly ten years at NRJ, Fun Radio and MFM taught him on-air pace, direct communication and branding — tools he would later take into the studio.

Radio selects and presents other people’s music. His aim, as he puts it in his writing, was elsewhere: to produce, arrange and release tracks. To move from programming to creating, without dropping what radio had taught about tempo and audience.

The discography adventure starts in 2007 and the label takes shape in 2008. The catalogue is distributed via Believe. In his account, Alexandre Auger looks back on that first period: thirteen singles and one compilation distributed across roughly 240 territories, without major-label backing.

Ibiza Hype opens the chapter under his own name, followed by a Muttonheads remix of Give Love. Electromix also supports the development of Yane Solöne and releases music by Oliver Kaan & Diana Joselle, 2 Fabiola, Platinum Girls, Chris Feelding, and Jim Marlaud & Al Swan — encounters that gradually shape the label’s house and electro identity.

Around 2012, activity slowed for personal reasons he recounts elsewhere. Music did not disappear; it waited for the rest to settle.

In 2026, Electromix comes back to life under Komby Music. Komby Dot IO becomes the DJ collective gathered around Alexandre Auger: bringing together DJs from the current scene who can carry the brand, live and on record. Not to be confused with komby.io, the technology company in the same network.

The track Komby Komby marks this new chapter. Technology, music production and the label’s experience come together, while Electromix’s historical catalogue remains the project’s foundation.

On the tech side, Komby claims about seven years of lead on the uses it is building — a project stance, not a third-party metric. Pattern carries that identity in music; the next album, the CEO record, will go further into unfiltered speech.

In his writing, Alexandre Auger claims a line of conduct more than a slogan: keep going despite refusals, stay combative, and look at how the world — including technology — is changing without naivety. That courage, tenacity and clear-eyed resolve connect his radio years, the creation of the label, expatriation and his return to music.

At Electromix, that stance shows up as a preference for accountable production work: intent, arrangement, mixing. Tools evolve; the craft remains making tracks, not promising an easy career.
