Alexandre Auger

Before the label, he attended an audiovisual school, where he learned to produce and mix, then trained in recording studios. He went on to spend nearly ten years in radio, at NRJ, Fun Radio and MFM. In 2007 he left the airwaves, two years after meeting Believe founder Denis Ladegaillerie, and put his seed money into Electromix Records. Electronic music was no calculation: it was the music he loved.

The label’s first reference, “Everything You Need” (EM001), came out in February 2007 as Alexandre Auger feat. Akil, a track he co-wrote with singer Akil Wingate. The duo followed with “Give Love”, remixed by Muttonheads, and “You’re Not Alone”. Then came “Ibiza Hype” with Magicbass, and his remix of “Facing The Sea” for Yane Solöne, the first artist on the label. In all, thirteen singles and one compilation reached around 240 territories, without major-label backing but with a real network of artists and professionals.

In 2012 he released “Love You Like That” with Jim Marlaud and Akil Wingate under the name Al Swan. “Al” comes from Alex, while “Swan” takes his son Swann’s first name with a single n. That same year, personal reasons and a new company took him away from the studio.

Music returned in 2026 with Komby Dot IO, the DJ collective he brought together within Komby, alongside komby.io, the technology company. Pattern, its debut album, opens that chapter with “Komby Komby”.
